Andy Shen believes that the three most important issues that Coquitlam faces are Transportation, development and municipal services.

Andy Shen hopes to bring common sense to City Hall, Coquitlam is known for its loony by-laws, and I want to vote to repeal them. I want to work to rein taxes in and replace property taxes (by working with the province) with a more level headed approach that does not make people forever indebted to the municipal tax man. I want to bring competition to garbage pickup and make sure developments fits into a plan, not just haphazard, yet slow granting of permits. I want to make it easier to get around Coquitlam, whether it is by bus, bike, on foot or by car.
