2009: A Year in Review

Here is a list of significant events that happened in 2009 that I have put together. If I am missing any important events, please feel free to comment here.

January

Barack Obama was inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States.

Opposition Leader Michael Ignatieff supports the Minority Conservative Party Federal Budget.

The Canadian Economy lost 129,000 jobs in January 2009 with unemployment rising to 7.2%. It was an all-time record in Canada. Despite it being a record, it is lower than the unemployment rate in the United States (7.6%). Continue reading ‘2009: A Year in Review’

Upcoming Goals

Thanks to Raul Pacheco on Twitter, I have decided to set my own goals for 2010.  In addition, thanks to Taylor “Loren” on Twitter, I have decided to use Lululemon Goaltender to set my goals.

According to the website, “a goal is a written, measurable statement with a specific subject and a deadline.  A goal is a milestone in the creation of [us] ideal life.  A goal is what inspires [us] to do the work everyday.” Continue reading ‘Upcoming Goals’

Hello World

hello world!  It is exams in most post-secondary institutions in British Columbia. Right now, I should be studying for Linear Algebra.  Instead, I decided to do something with this website while Twitter was down due to “overload”.  For over 3–4 months, this website has existed but with no content.

I will be using this place as a place to post “me” centered content. It would feature content that I find interesting or materials that I have an opinion about.  Sometimes I will even post a bit about myself so that you can learn more about me. You should expect pictures and summaries about the events that I went to. If you have been a visitor of my “u” website (university), I will still be working on that website.
