Upcoming Goals

Thanks to Raul Pacheco on Twitter, I have decided to set my own goals for 2010.  In addition, thanks to Taylor “Loren” on Twitter, I have decided to use Lululemon Goaltender to set my goals.

According to the website, “a goal is a written, measurable statement with a specific subject and a deadline.  A goal is a milestone in the creation of [us] ideal life.  A goal is what inspires [us] to do the work everyday.”

On the website, it has 3 categories of goals — career, personal, and health.  My goals are as follows:

Career

Education

Health

  • 10 Year Goal — By the end of 2020, I will have the ability to walk 4 polls a day.
  • 5 Year Goal — By the end of 2016, I will have the ability to walk 3 polls a day.
  • 1 Year Goal — By the end of 2011, I will have the ability to walk 2 polls a day.
  • When not doing data entry or IT stuff during federal, provincial, or municipal elections, I will be doing door-knocking.  Unless I am a Member of Legislative Assembly or Member of Parliament, I will be out helping during every election — federal, provincial or municipal.

For those who are not interested in politics, electoral districts are divided into smaller geographic sections called polls (also known as polling division).  A list of electors and a polling station is set up for each polling division.  There are usually 6–12 polling stations set up at each polling location (usually a church or school).
