Canadian Heritage Minister James Moore calls this tax the “iTax”. This tax is proposed by New Democrat Party MP Charlie Angus. The proposed tax will add a tax to any device that is capable of playing audio — iPod, iPhone, iPad, iRiver, Walkmans, Android, Blackberrys, Notebook Computers, Desktop Computers and basically anything you can find at your local Best Buy store.

Starting late 2010, construction on the Evergreen Line will begin. The project is funded by Translink, Provincial BCLiberal Government and the Federal Conservative Government. The cost of the project is $1.4 billion and will create more than 8,000 jobs within the region throughout the course of the construction. The project will stimulate community growth and new department, as you can already see in Port Moody.
The polls have closed for the Simon Fraser Student Society Elections. The results are posted on the website. Congratulations to the candidates who ran in the election. You have took part in this election and showed SFU students that democracy is alive!
The term of the elected officials will begin starting May 1. There will be a by-election hosted in the Fall 2010 semester for the positions of:
- Faculty of Applied Sciences
- Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
- Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology
- Faculty of Environment
- Faculty of Health Sciences

- There are around 27,500 undergraduate students at SFU.

The polling for the Simon Fraser Student Society will begin on March 16 and will end on March 18. Voting will be conducted electronically. All the candidates have worked very hard and I applaud them.
After looking at the posters, reading the platforms and watching the debates, I have made up my final mind on who I support for most of the positions.
Starting this month, I will be posting a semi-monthly report of what I am up to. It will also include interesting statistics and facts about myself.
