“cognito ergo sum” ~ Descartes
I am Canadian:
I am currently a resident in the City of Coquitlam in Beautiful British Columbia. For almost all my life, I have lived on Westwood Plateau (Federal Riding 59021). I can speak English and Chinese Mandarin, as well as a bit of French.
I am a student:
I am a student currently attending Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. I am currently working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. The reason for my choices was because I love both politics as well as technology, therefore I was unable to choose between the two.
Prior to Simon Fraser University, I attended Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary School – a small Roman Catholic private school in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. I graduated from a small class of no less than 100 people and no more than 150 people.
I am involved:
- Multiculturalism Advisory Committee of the City of Coquitlam.
- Multiculturalism Project Group of the City of Coquitlam.
- Advocacy Committee of the Simon Fraser Student Society.
- Executive on the Archbishop Carney Alumni Association.
- Executives of several clubs at Simon Fraser University.
I am an active citizen:
If there is an election in British Columbia on the provincial or federal level, no matter what size, I will be there. In the past, I have volunteered on several campaigns. The most recent campaigns are the Federal By-election campaign where I volunteered for Diana Dilworth of the Conservative Party of Canada and the BC Provincial General Election where I volunteered the majority of my time for Douglas Horne of the BC Liberal Party.
My current Member of the Legislative Assembly is Douglas Horne (BC Liberal). He is a first-term member of the Assembly and does not hold any portfolio in the government. My current Member of Parliament is James Moore (Conservative Party of Canada). He has been elected since 2000 and is currently the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
I am everywhere:
If you are similar to me in one way or another (ie, same political party, same school), you will find that I am everywhere. With the Upass, the possibilities of my location are endless! On a regular school week, I will be travelling in Coquitlam, Port Moody, Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey and possibly Vancouver. If you find that we are taking the same buses or Skytrain, feel free to come and say Hi to me!
If you do live in the Metro Vancouver and have not seen me around (or if you have seen me around and want to learn more about me), you may add me on Facebook or Twitter. I am usually updating my Facebook and Twitter constantly on my computer or on my Blackberry. If you are on other social networking websites, feel free to contact me and I will send you my username on that website. Additionally, you can find a list of Web 2.0 websites that I currently hold membership on the right side of the website!
I am available:
I am available to take questions if you still want to know more about me. You may ask me questions or see what others are asking on my formspring.me page!
