  • Hello,

I want to pursue career goals in Pharmacy and i know UBC has the pharmacy program that i could go into. But incase i do not get into UBC, i was wondering if SFU had “Pre-Pharmacy” courses that are similar and equivalent to the ones at UBC.

Please help me and reply back asap as i have to apply soon.

    Thanks

  • UBC currently is the only university in British Columbia with a pharmacy program. UBC has a list of prerequisites that you need to complete (you can complete this anywhere) and the SFU courses that you need to apply to UBC Pharmacy and enter as first year are as follows:

    BISC 101 and 102
    CHEM 121 and 122 and 126
    ENGL any two of ENGL 199, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105
    MATH 151 / 152 (or 154 / 155 or 157 / 158)
    PHYS (101, 102, 130) or (120, 121, 131) or (125, 126, 131) or (140, 141)

Refer to a current University of British Columbia Calendar for specific information. All applicants must submit additional supplemental admission requirements. Students should consult the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of BC.

I will post more information on transferring to UBC Professional Schools in the future. Please feel free to reply if you have any additional questions.
